Called my RO today to find out where i was at like everyone wants to know. The lady i spoke with said it being worked on as we spoke. Now like everyone I'm angry about the time it takes. If this is the case that its actually in the raters hands what time frame (estimate of course) would i be looking at? Days? Weeks? Months? I know my claim isn't the longest at 17 months but it would be nice to know.

prep for notification
my husbands claim went of prep for notification . When we place the cursor over the box that is shaded blue, it says decision made and packett ready to be mailed. How long does it take them to update the ab8 letter?

Va averages for processing
I am wondering how many of you, like me, think the VA is padding their averages? I think the claims are being cheery picked to drive the average down so they don't look as bad as they really are. My claim has went over every average days count they put out there. Granted my claim is BDD and isn't taking as long as most of you out there. Even with that being said, I am sure they are doing that across the board so the public doesn't truly know how bad they are.

I moved! Pending decision approval!
I started in 4/2012 for IU had my C&P's 10/2012 was re evaled for my current service connected conditions. I'm currently 60%. I'm at houston RO. I have prayed and had lots of people pray. Works very well for me. My Initial claim took 14 Mo. I am very excited because I need a reason to be with what I'm dealing with.

NOD Received, waiting
Well I submitted my NOD and the VA received it on Sep 4, 2012. About a week later i got a letter of them notifying they received my NOD and asked me to chose DRO or Traditional appeal process. I chose DRO and sent it back on Sep 11, 2012. On Sep 13, 2012 it shows Appeal Pending, Progress Office BVA. And today its Oct 26, 2012 and it says the same thing. Is that normal? Afraid your all going to say yes. I dont know if they received my chose for DRO or not. Just says its pending BVA and in progress #1 out of the how many ever steps. I thought after I chose DRO they were suppose to send me a SOC and explain why they denied it, or send it to DRO and he/she does a real good look and makes a decision? Thoughts?

Claim went from Preperation for Notification BACKWARDS to Pending Decision Approval
Hello.. First msg on the forum; However I have been reading it for well over a year now.
First off I want to give a Congrats to all who have received their claim in their favor!
Now for my short description. Currently rated at 40% (30% depression, 10%Lumbar). My RO is St. Louis, I had filed for a claim increase in March, 2012. Due to a finical hardship/homelessness I sent a request to have my file expedited as well as a congressional inquiry with evidence.
I am happy to state that my claim was expedited and went from Under Review on 9/4/2012 to Prep for notification by 10/24/2012. Sadly The timeline bar has moved backwards from Prep for notification, back to Pending Decision Approval on 10/26/2012. I called 1-800, I was informed and told the same line as usual the reginal office is "Dotting the I's, and crossing the T's.",
Called my Rep, he informed me not to follow ebennies, it is'nt right and the claim is almost finished. Also he informed me my new...

Regulatory or Procedural Review Closed
So on 10/2/12 a new claimed opened up on Ebenefits (not really new the old one farmed out), today it shows the case closed and the original claim went to pending notification on Weds. Now I know that there really isn't 2 separate claims, they just sent the original to be worked on in Lincoln, NE, and added a separate claim, my AB8 letter is still at 100%, I'm retired military so no AB3 for me. I'm hoping that the end is near, but just wondering whats next.

Preparation For Decision
Well I filed my claim 1 Jul 12.. I must admit my claim was moving really fast as I had completed all comp and pens and all my data was at the Regional Office end of August. My claim went to preparation for decision 16 Sep and I thought it want be long now, I maybe done in under 125 days. Now it appears I've moved back to gathering of evidence because the rater states the comp and pen examiner didn't review my c file. How crazy is that? So now they given them 2 months I assume to review C-file and submit report. This is my initial claim and I submitted IME with initial claim. So lets see how much this slows me down.

In June 2010 I filed a claim for IHD. In Sept 2011 the claim was approved, retroactive to 2003 (inferred). The approval raised my rating to 80% (70% increase) from 2004 through early 2011 and back to 70% thereafter. Being a retiree an audit was needed. The VA requested an audit from DFAS. The audit was completed and returned on 19 Dec 2011. The audit showed that the VA owed over 17K and DFAS owing nothing. As it turned out in late July an inquiry by my Congressman's office to DFAS found that when the VA requested the audit they neglected to tell DFAS that I had a rating increase. The new audit showed that the VA now owes over 61K and DFAS owing over 12K (which DFAS has paid).
My problems began when I was initially told that I would receive my retro within 45 days after completion of the audit. At day 60 I began the process of calling Peggy and emailing her just as competent sister, IRIS. In March, 2012 (90 day mark) I asked...

Preparation for Decision
I have been in the "Preparation for Decision" stage for two months now and it says 12/13/2012 to 04/23/2013 for an estimated claim completion date. Are these dates accurate or has anyone received their claim answer before the dates given by ebenefits? Is ther an average time that a claim will be in the "Preparation for Decision"stage , its been over 10 years since my last claim an i cant remember how long it takes

What im asking is when someone receives no compensation dose that go faster in the "Preparation for Decision" stage or is time a non-factor
